This semester we will be focusing on the role of the teacher and the student, turn and talk routines, partnerships, building our stamina, choosing "just right" books as well as "dessert books", and word solver strategies. You may hear your child talk about Tryin Lion, Eagle Eye, Lips the Fish, Stretchy Snake, Chunky Monkey and Skippy Frog. These are really strategies we use if the text doesn't make sense, doesn't sound right, or look right.
Social Sciences This trimester we will learn about life cycles and pilgrims first Thanksgiving. We are using Fridays as an inquiry day for students to explore.
